Kasra Abrishami moved into Digital Signage Technician

I saw an advert about changing careers, and it aligned perfectly with what I was looking for. I wanted a stronger long-term opportunity in the UK and had always been keen to move into IT, but I needed a structured and recognised pathway to do it properly. When I came across IT Career Switch, it felt like the right opportunity to gain solid technical foundations and industry-recognised certifications, so I decided to take that step and commit to the career change.

What I enjoyed most was the structured, technical approach to learning. The Traineeship broke down complex IT concepts into clear, manageable sections, and the Live Labs were particularly valuable as they allowed me to apply theory in real world scenarios. This helped me understand not only how systems work, but also how to troubleshoot issues methodically and respond in a professional IT support environment.

My current role at Lamasatech has been an excellent and very hands-on introduction to the IT industry. I work closely with hardware and software, carrying out on-site troubleshooting and installations across different cities, resolving faults with digital signage systems, and supporting live environments. In the office, I regularly manage firmware updates, configure digital signage screens, diagnose technical issues, and assist customers by demonstrating how effective digital signage solutions can be implemented to improve business operations and customer engagement.
