PRINCE2 Foundation course overview.

I started the Traineeship because I needed a change from my last career and cyber security really started to stand out to me when I was looking for what careers I could pursue. However, I didn’t know where to begin or how to have the most success when applying for roles which was made more difficult from being on the autistic spectrum. That’s when I came across IT Career Switch where I could work at my own pace within reason, gain the necessary qualifications to be able to obtain the role, as well as receiving the support I needed to have success in my job search.

I started the Traineeship because even though I had previous programming experience, I needed a bit more foundation in full-stack programming. I also did a computer games development undergraduate degree before this, but with this I mainly learnt C# and C++, so this course helped me to learn more about full-stack programming languages, like HTML, CSS, Java, Python, SQL, etc.

I started the Traineeship because I wanted a long-term career with real progression and the opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s safety at work. I came from a motor trade background and had already progressed quickly to the higher end of the career path by the age of 21. That made me realise I wanted to move into a field where I could continue developing without hitting a ceiling. Health and Safety stood out to me because I had already been exposed to many of the risks through working as a mechanic, particularly when handling chemicals and hazardous substances. It felt like a natural transition into a role where I could use that experience while also helping improve workplace safety and protect people.

I started this Traineeship because I was looking for a career switch into IT, but I wasn't 100% sure what to do or how to achieve it. After doing my research, I found IT Career Switch, and the company came highly recommended in terms of the reviews and success stories that I had seen. Once I had been given the different brochures for the courses and understood what there was to offer, it felt like a no-brainer to go ahead and sign up. The structure and qualifications that the course offered were too good to turn down in an already saturated market when it comes to deciding what to do when starting a career in IT.

I started my Data Science Traineeship to improve my CV and gain some experience.

Have been interested in IT for a long time, I believed there’d be ever-growing opportunities within the IT industry, and the Traineeship was the place to start.

After being an Employment Project Lead, I became very interested in a Project Management career. I love the diversity of the role, from daily duties to carrying a project from start to finish. I love being a part of change and development, and this course gave me the opportunity to learn from home and to gain real experience with the projects at the end. I was so scared of the exams, but the course was intensive, and I learned everything I needed to pass both on my first try!
