Why did you start the Cyber Security Traineeship?

I started the Traineeship because I wanted to start a career and stop moving between entry-level jobs. I have always been interested in IT in my personal life, so it seemed like the best option for me. I also wanted to improve my skills in the IT field, leading to further roles in the future.

What did you enjoy most?

The ability to learn at my own pace from my own home was essential for me in the learning process. I also found the help Barry gave me with sourcing roles for me to apply for, and also gave me coaching for applications and interviews. This gave me a lot of confidence in my abilities and employability.

What's your current role like?

My current role as a 1st Line IT Technician has been excellent so far. Working for an IT support company has given me experience with lots of different customers, all running different setups. This has been crucial in giving me a lot of extra skills. Dealing with all the different types of hardware and software I would not have otherwise had the chance to get experience with. I am looking forward to the future with Unity and taking the opportunity to learn as much as possible!
