Why did you start the traineeship?

I felt like I had gotten too comfortable in my previous job and it didn’t feel challenging anymore. Looked into IT as I knew there was a demand for more workers, and after coming across IT Career Switch and reading testimonials from others I thought why not give it a go.

What did you enjoy most?

I liked the flexibility you get with the course. Being able to study while working full time was a big factor in choosing IT Career Switch. It’s also a broad course so you get good foundation knowledge across many different areas of IT.

What's your current role like?

I’m currently a 1st Line Support Engineer in a growing MSP. I feel it’s a good starting place to learn on the job and also be hands-on. It’s a fast-paced environment, so learning a lot in a short amount of time is challenging, but the team are great and I’m enjoying the first step in my IT career.
