Why did you start the traineeship?

I’ve always had a passion for tech and I decided to enrol in the IT Career Switch programme. I started the Traineeship in November 2020 and it was the best decision I could make.

What did you enjoy most?

The Traineeship helped me grow and develop my IT skills and gave me great insight into all the background processes which occur, which previously as an end user, I did not know on. The course content and labs were very useful and assisted in giving first-hand experience on quite a few subjects which were great to learn. In addition, it helped me qualify for jobs as well as improve my skills and knowledge to help me become a more desirable candidate for the jobs I was searching for overall the CV creation and the support from IT Career Switch were very good.

What's your current role like?

My current role is as an Information Security Analyst. My duties are to use and maintain software, such as firewalls and data encryption programs, to protect sensitive information.
