Why did you start the traineeship?

Since my childhood I always had a passion for Computer and technologies. In 2024 I decided to switch my career into IT.

What did you enjoy most?

I enjoyed learning about the different IT concepts and the live labs. Whatever I have learned from watching videos and Lab practice now I’m applying those skills in my current job role. I would like to thank entire IT carrier switch team for their tremendous support.

What's your current role like?

My current role is Service Desk Technician and I’m responsible for carrying out IT support activities for all BlackRock users worldwide in conjunction with the Amelia team in the United States of America. I utilise provided tools to handle inbound contact from end users via calls, chat, remote and email solutions document, troubleshoot, resolve the issue or escalate to the right support team within the required timescales to achieve SLA targets. I ensure tickets are completed as per the incident management and request fulfilment process.
