Why did you start the traineeship?

I started the traineeship in April 2022 because I needed a career change and felt I had reached the end of my previous career. I wanted something new with plenty of opportunities and my Cyber Security traineeship from IT Career Switch was the best option for me.

What did you enjoy most?

I most enjoyed learning about networks to which I hadn’t been exposed before. But through the traineeship, I was slowly introduced to networking concepts and enjoyed that experience.

What's your current role like?

My current role is as a desktop support engineer. For me this looks fairly varied, mostly helping to troubleshoot applications and hardware with occasional network ts. For the most part, I communicate with users through teams and remote into their desktops to apply fixes.
