Why did you start the Coding Traineeship?

I have always been a technical person, building PCs and keeping up with the latest tech. I realised I could combine problem-solving with my love for computers, which directly led me into coding! I just needed to find the right avenue to do so, which was IT Career Switch.

What did you enjoy most?

I enjoyed the mixture of learning it provided, from making me read language documentation to building projects that really cemented my fundamental understanding. Coding is about building and knowing how to research a problem to find solutions effectively, and this learning format definitely teaches you to do so.

What's your current role like?

I got my first position as a Junior Full Stack Engineer in February, and it has been fantastic. There’s always so much that I’m learning and getting stuck in with, it’s everything I hoped for when I began this course. Taking part in sprints, completing tickets, and getting time with developers who have a wealth of knowledge. I look forward to furthering my learning and progress as far as possible.
