Why did you start the traineeship?
I saw an advert about changing careers, and it aligned perfectly with what I was looking for. I had always been keen to move into IT, but I wanted a structured and recognised pathway to do it properly. When I came across IT Career Switch, it felt like the right opportunity to gain solid technical foundations and industry-recognised certifications, and I appreciated the support to find at position at the end of the traineeship.
What did you enjoy most?
I enjoyed the Traineeship most for the flexibility of online learning, which allowed me to study at my own pace while gaining industry knowledge. It helped me build confidence and a solid technical foundation.
What's your current role like?
My current position is essentially an entry-level developer role where I am administering and working with a cloud-based enterprise-level platform, driving digital transformation for a large government department. There is an awful lot still to learn as the platform is vast but I’m really enjoying it and I also have the chance to use my problem solving skills and undertake investigative work which is great!
