Richard Amoako's journey

Why did you start the traineeship?

I have been working as a machine operator which I never liked my job. I have been working from warehouses to care jobs to factories. I had a keen interest in IT so I was thinking about where I could study to become a Cyber Security analyst. I chanced on an IT career switch and it has been the best thing that has happened in my life

What did you enjoy most?

I really loved almost everything in the stages of the traineeship from the mocks, live labs, quick responses from the tutors and the recruitment processes.

What's your current role like?

I’m currently enjoying my current role as an IT technician for a college. I have been applying most of the things I studied during my traineeship and it makes me feel very proud of myself. Some of my roles are: setting up new computers, Deploying windows images, using AD etc.
