Why did you start the traineeship?

I was looking to get into a better career path and I came across the traineeship in my job search. I was already really into computers as a hobby; it felt like a perfect way to turn an interest into a career.

What did you enjoy most?

The training videos were done by excellent instructors. Because they were videos it meant that I could fit the learning around my job and kids, without having to worry about being late or not able to respond to unexpected events at home.

What's your current role like?

I am a part of a small IT team in a children’s charity, which means I get to work a brilliant cross section of IT from building laptops and phones to dealing with any IT queries my colleagues have without needing to pass them around to different departments. All the while helping to improve the lives of kids in Scotland.
