Why did you start the traineeship?
I realized that I wasn’t going to get to where I wanted to be in life if I continued with my previous career. The Traineeship offered me a way to retrain and progress quickly in a dynamic new career.
What did you enjoy most?
I enjoyed the practice exams the most and felt they prepared me well for my certifications. I also enjoyed the flexible nature of the course, being able to learn at my own speed alongside my day job gaining certifications to allow me to progress my career.
What's your current role like?
My current role is excellent, no two days are the same. I’m a month into my first Cyber Security position and I’m constantly learning which is extremely rewarding. I spend the majority of my time analyzing logs and determining whether events/alerts are benign or whether they indicate any compromise, breach, or malicious activity. Furthermore, I work on tuning projects and assist in filtering out a lot of unnecessary alert generation.
