Why did you start the traineeship?
I started the Traineeship because I wanted to gain practical experience and build a solid foundation in Cybersecurity and IT Support. I was looking to retrain and transition into a new career path, and the Traineeship offered the structure, guidance, and real-world exposure I needed to make that change with confidence.
What did you enjoy most?
What I enjoyed most was the mix of learning and hands-on experience. It wasn’t just theory. We had the opportunity to apply what we learned through real tasks, which helped cement my knowledge and build confidence. I also really valued the support from mentors and peers, which made it a positive and motivating environment to grow in.
What's your current role like?
I am currently working as a Service Desk Technician. The role is varied and keeps me engaged. I am applying the skills I developed during the Traineeship daily, whether it is troubleshooting, customer support or using ticketing systems, and I am continuing to learn and grow on the job. It has been really rewarding to see the progress I have made since starting the programme.
