Why did you start the traineeship?

After graduating from studying for my honours degree in Business management I decided it wasn’t a career I wanted for myself. Instead, I thought I would research a career path that better suited my skillsets, and more importantly something I would be interested in. This new career path was IT and thankfully they gave me a platform to study IT and enter my new field of work.

What did you enjoy most?

Learning. Constant learning, very transparent to the ever-growing world of IT. Feeling productive doing something I enjoy, that could become a profession, was new to me. Grateful that IT Career Switch allowed me to achieve this, with their staff being very resourceful in helping me get there. Live labs were particularly enjoyable, working scenarios I find myself facing at work today.

What's your current role like?

Being in a new field of work hasn’t been without new challenges but these challenges have been made enjoyable through having great work colleagues who are very attentive. It’s a fast pace of work with no two days being the same, keeping me on my toes to tackle the new challenges that come my way.
