Why did you start the Cyber Security Traineeship?

After numerous attempts to get into mental healthcare to put my postgraduate training to the test I felt I was getting nowhere. I decided to pursue my interest in IT and saw that IT Career Switch where offering a traineeship, providing the necessary certifications to get me in the door of the IT industry. So I jumped on board and haven’t looked back!

What did you enjoy most?

I thoroughly enjoyed the communication with mentors as they maintained a clear and concise practice which helped me focus on achieving my goals.

What's your current role like?

I am currently an IT technician for a school in London where I do a whole host of tasks from 1st to 3rd line resolutions to helping resolve networking issues, safeguarding – filtering and monitoring, and building network infrastructure.
