Dylan Orrells's journey
Why did you start the traineeship?
I reached a point in my life where I no longer felt fulfilled, I felt that I was going through the motions in work, with no real progression or tangible improvement. I wanted a position in an industry that is constantly evolving and where I can always improve my skills in existing areas and new ones.
What did you enjoy most?
I enjoyed the re-introduction of learning into my life, whilst still being flexible enough that I could fit it around my schedule. Rather than feeling stagnant, deepening my knowledge was a very rewarding experience and I am committed to continuing this trend that the Traineeship has set me on.
What's your current role like?
My current role as an IT Technician involves supporting end users, managing and repairing hardware and software, and constantly striving to learn more in a rapidly developing industry.
