Why did you start the traineeship?
I started the traineeship as my previous role in occupational health had limited progression opportunities, I wanted to gain a qualification in health and safety that allowed me more career opportunities.
What did you enjoy most?
I enjoyed learning a completely new subject and applying it to real-life situations, tutor support was great and responsive whenever an issue arose.
What's your current role like?
As a Safety Systems Lead working for the railway at Avanti West Coast, I’m learning day by day how companies keep passengers and employees safe. My new job is enjoyable and offers different challenges each day.
