Jonathan Namir moved into Support Engineer

I always had an interest in technology and computing from an early age but decided to go through the Music Technology route later on down the line I fell out of love with it. During the pandemic, I got made redundant from a job I was forcing myself to go into. Once I left, it gave me time to think about what I was actually interested in. I researched how to get into the IT industry and found that the CompTIA A+ is the gateway. After further research, I discovered IT Career Switch which looked like a good place to get my foot in the door with it all.

I very much enjoyed putting the learned skills to the test. During the video lectures, I would follow along and perform things on my end which made it all very interesting. I ended up learning a lot through doing that.

My current role as a Support Engineer at Pioneer Solutions is exactly what I expected from a successful MSP. Very fast-paced but very rewarding. I am now part of a welcoming friendly team, and our clients are also great to work with. Every day brings new technical issues that need resolving, so the learning never ends which is great in my opinion.
