Why did you start the traineeship?

For many years, my employment was through circumstance and convenience rather than choosing a job I was interested in. I really wanted to pursue a career in an area that I’m really passionate about, so I felt the Traineeship was a great place to start.

What did you enjoy most?

I loved the Security+ module, because I find IT security really interesting, and it helped me a lot in understanding certain concepts, but the thing I have enjoyed the most was the Live Labs, as they give you the opportunity to be hands-on on various operating systems and to start practising what you learn in the courses.

What's your current role like?

I am currently working as a Trainee Connectivity Engineer. My new role is very diverse and allows me to apply what I learned during the Traineeship. It involves everything that has to do with multi-functional devices, including: preparation and set up of the devices at our office, attending customer sites for the installs and providing remote IT support.
