Donata Grineviciene moved into Operations Manager

I started the Traineeship because I wanted to change my career path and deepen my knowledge in health and safety. It was something I had focused on in my previous role and it was a part of the job I genuinely enjoyed. I was ready for a new challenge and saw the Traineeship as a great opportunity to grow.

I really appreciated the flexibility to study at my own pace and the support provided throughout. Barry was especially helpful with job applications and offered excellent guidance during the process. I also valued his regular check-ins to keep track of progress and stay motivated.

Although I didn’t end up in a role directly focused on health and safety, the Traineeship played a big part in guiding me through the job search process. Having the NEBOSH certification definitely helped me stand out and opened the door to a new career path. I joined Pioneer Quality Services as an Assistant Operations Manager and was promoted to Operations Manager within a month. In my role, I oversee multiple office cleaning sites, manage client relationships, carry out site visits, and ensure all compliance requirements are met. I also review health and safety files, support COSHH training, and help make decisions that promote the safety and wellbeing of our staff. While it’s a different direction than I originally planned, I’m still able to apply what I learned in the Traineeship. It’s a fast-paced and rewarding role, and I really enjoy the variety and responsibility it brings.
