Why did you start the traineeship?
I began this Traineeship with a single goal in mind: to launch a successful career in IT. Having no experience and technical aptitude entering the program, I saw this as a necessary stepping stone — a foot in the door when I had no clue where to begin.
What did you enjoy most?
The structure of the Traineeship exceeded my expectations. From the quality, easily audible course videos to the interactive IT labs, everything was designed to facilitate learning and development. The practical labs, in particular, allowed me to apply new competencies to real-world scenarios, which really accelerated my learning. The clear and organised structure also made studying to become a certified IT Technician effective and enjoyable.
What's your current role like?
Thanks to this program, I’m now employed as a First Responder IT Engineer at a Managed Service Provider, supporting a global client base through a ticketed system. Each day is a fresh challenge and learning opportunity that continues to make me grow and advance within the field. Not only was this Traineeship the beginning of my IT career — it was the stepping stone that got my career started.
