Why did you start the traineeship?

I started the traineeship because I always had an interest in IT and didn’t know where to start. I saw that the IT Career Switch had a lot of help for the students and in-depth training to prepare me for my first role and it was a no-brainer for me.

What did you enjoy most?

I really enjoyed the live labs and putting into practice what I learned throughout the traineeship and I really enjoyed learning how to troubleshoot from all the different courses.

What's your current role like?

My current role is ICT technician, I’m really enjoying it as I get to go out to sites and do networking installations as well as work from the office offering Helpdesk support to our customers so I get to put a lot of the things I learned into practice. I was surprised at the options provided by employers when I started applying and how quickly I managed to secure a role to gain experience with the help of IT Career Switch recruitment.
