Arun Sanker moved into IT Systems Support Analyst

I came to the UK dreaming of getting a Job in IT Compliance. However, when I attended a few interviews, I came to the conclusion that my current knowledge level is not sufficient for getting a role in IT Compliance. In order to update my level of IT knowledge, I had to do some courses and I was browsing through different options available for me and found the Cyber Security Course provided by IT Career Switch. I decided to enroll looking at the level of commitment they are offering in securing a job in Cyber Security once I complete the course.

I joined as an IT Systems Support Analyst in Yorkshire Building Society. My team does IT Service Management for YBS. We provide IT Support for YBS IT Infrastructure and IT Applications across all their branches and agencies and other offices in the UK. Apart from the normal office activities, I am getting opportunities to manage incidents which results in disruption of IT Services and work with stakeholders in analysing these incidents to avoid any such disruptions in future. I am also encouraged to learn new skills and apply it in my line of work.
