Why did you start the traineeship?

I started the traineeship program as I was always interested in IT. After being made redundant I decided that now is the perfect moment to start my career in the IT sector. I found IT Career Switch online and decided to give it a go. It soon turned out that it was a very good decision.

What did you enjoy most?

I enjoyed the vast knowledge that the traineeship offered. All the courses contained lots of very useful information on many different topics, delivered in a very approachable way.

What's your current role like?

I’m enjoying my current role as an ICT support for schools. I’m employed by a local council. I’m surrounded by a great group of people. The job can be very challenging but every day is different. I am experiencing a variety of tasks, which gives me the opportunity to really expand and develop my skill set. It’s a great first job in IT and I couldn’t ask for more.
