Why did you start the Cyber Security Traineeship?

I wanted to start the Traineeship to become introduced to the world of IT, taking me from someone who didn’t have any experience or certifications within IT, to helping me learn the valuable theory to help me pass the CompTIA A+ and subsequently land me my first job in IT.

What did you enjoy most?

I enjoyed the Live Labs the most, definitely putting the theory learnt in the first initial steps into hands-on action with virtual machines running operating systems like Windows, Linux definitely was very fun to play around with and learn, reinforcing my practical knowledge for the exams.

What's your current role like?

I currently work as a Technical Coordinator for Odema – a company who work alongside Quick Service Restaurants like McDonalds providing and configuring their IT Infrastructure, My role is very hands on using the knowledge and practical experience through the Live Labs, my role typically consists of Re-imaging tablets/servers, configuring and testing a range of IT hardware, performing advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics etc.
