Why did you start the IT Technician Traineeship?

I have moved to another country and my career plans together with the university degree became irrelevant. I was doing simple work but craved for something more meaningful. Since I have always been interested in technology but lacked actual theoretical knowledge, I decided to find some courses. IT Career Switch traineeship gave me not only the necessary theoretical and practical skills but helped to define the exact path in IT I am aiming for now. The included recruitment was another reason I chose to start this traineeship. Have not regretted it!

What did you enjoy most?

During the traineeship, I went through multiple courses, and I specifically enjoyed networking. It was great to get some practice using virtual machines and get to know Windows servers and other operating systems since I generally use only Windows 10. However, the best part was the recruitment process. I felt really supported and gained another set of skills useful for the interviews.

What's your current role like?

My current role is connected with networking – dealing with broadbands, landlines and VoIP. I absolutely love the place where I am now and it promises to become only better. I keep referring to the knowledge I have gained during the traineeship daily.
