Why did you start the traineeship?

I wanted to start a career in IT as this is an ever-growing industry. Specifically, I wanted to get into cyber security. I saw that IT Career Switch provided a structured route as well as offered the right courses to assist me in my career.

What did you enjoy most?

There are many aspects of the training I enjoyed, but the thing I appreciated the most was the new knowledge I gained. The training covered a wide range of interesting content. It has been illuminating to learn about how computers and networks work, understanding the backbone of the internet and how a device communicates with another on the other side of the world has been especially fascinating.

What's your current role like?

My current role is that of a cyber security assistant, it is focused on implementing cyber security and learning to ethically hack. Like with the traineeship, I am continually learning new things, and more importantly enjoying the new experience.
