Why did you start the traineeship?
My background is in forensic science which is non-technical and I wanted to specialize in Digital Forensics and Cyber Security. But unfortunately, I felt I had a huge knowledge gap in the basics of IT. That’s why I chose to go to IT Career Switch, not only do they train us but also help us land a job with that training.
What did you enjoy most?
It took me less than a year to complete the extensive courses in my Traineeship, take the mock tests, pass the official tests and land a job that aligns with my goal. My favourite part of the traineeship is how it covers everything from scratch that you would need to know in order to excel in your entry-level position.
What's your current role like?
I’m now working as a Junior Desktop Support Analyst and I love it. I perform tasks such as Asset management, System admin, AD admin and day-to-day ticketing tasks. I’m learning a lot about the importance of IT services every day.
