Why did you start the Cyber Security Traineeship?

I started the Traineeship to change careers. Hospitality was great for my development, but it only took me so far. IT support has been a great transition for learning and giving my career longevity, and a chance to progress.

What did you enjoy most?

I most enjoyed learning new skills and making self-improvements, both personally and professionally. I really feel like I came out with genuine knowledge and capabilities.

What's your current role like?

My current role is fantastic. Much more relaxed and manageable than hospitality. It can get busy, but there are people on hand to share the load, and it can get quiet, but resources aren’t then cut back. Much better work-life balance and less taxing, both mentally and physically.
