Why did you start the traineeship?

I had wanted to make the move into H&S for a while and lockdown gave me a larger amount of time to work through the required qualifications. I did end up going back to work before finishing the course and found it possible to fit around my working life also.

What did you enjoy most?

I appreciated that the course material was easily accessible and that there was always tutor support when required. There was also a good amount of advice and talk of past successes/failures in the forums and it was great to be able to see common sticking points before reaching them myself. The recruitment process was also very smooth, however, I didn’t get placed with any partner companies due to some specific requirements on my part. My consultant Jade was very focused on making sure I was not applying for any roles I didn’t want and requested my feedback on suggested applications

What's your current role like?

I am very happy with the role I have just started, it is a steep learning curve even with the qualification behind me, but it’s very interesting and engaging to be exposed to real-life application of what I have recently learned.
