Why did you start the traineeship?
I started the Traineeship because it promised a one-stop-shop package, meaning I would be enrolled on a highly regarded course with a trusted learning partner, and would also receive invaluable help with job hunting, as well as with making myself stand out in a highly competitive job market.
What did you enjoy most?
Mostly, I enjoyed the studying part. The course materials were very informative and highly motivating. It really felt like I had found where I wanted to be, before even finding an actual job role in the field of occupational health and safety.
What's your current role like?
My current role is a varied one, but from a health and safety aspect, it involves visiting my organisation’s properties and sites, reviewing the existing risk assessments, updating them or preparing new ones that are suitable and sufficient, as well as conducting safety training for personnel.
