Why did you start the traineeship?
I started the Traineeship because Information Technology has always been a passion of mine, and I wanted to turn that passion into a career. I chose IT Career Switch after hearing great reviews about their program and support, which gave me confidence that it was the right path to get started in the IT industry.
What did you enjoy most?
What I enjoyed most was learning something new about technology every day and seeing my knowledge grow over time. Whether it was setting up viable networks or understanding cyber security threats, each topic helped me deepen my understanding and build practical skills that helps me propel within the industry.
What's your current role like?
In my current role as a Telecoms Field Engineer for one of the leading Network Service Providers in Europe, I apply the knowledge I gained from the course alongside transferable skills from my previous experience. I troubleshoot network issues in customers’ homes, and the training I received helps me do so efficiently and professionally. The role is fast-paced and constantly presents new challenges, giving me regular opportunities to learn new skills and enhance existing ones.
