Julian Leach's journey
Why did you start the traineeship?
I started the traineeship as I had fallen out of love with my career as a surveyor. I had been at it for 20+ years. I was rusting away. I needed a change and a new lease of life. I knew IT was the way forward. It was a moment of clarity when I found out about IT Career Switch.
What did you enjoy most?
The best part about the traineeship was the ability to proceed at your own pace. The course was also of tremendous value and the careers support was also very helpful.
What's your current role like?
I am now deep in the helpdesk environment with an amazing charity. Helping users every day and learning so much. The job satisfaction is back. I am so excited by the thought of progressing in my new career and completing the next phase of my training, entering the infrastructure and architecture arena (Networking).
