Why did you start the traineeship?

My background is in financial services, but I enjoy problem-solving and using technology to improve processes and day-to-day work the most enjoyable. I started using some VBA with excel which showed me the power of programming and I felt this would be a career I would enjoy a lot more IT Career Switch seemed to offer a comprehensive course with a job guarantee.

What did you enjoy most?

The projects at the end, although challenging, helped to tie a lot I had learned together. Also talking with Paddy during code review was really helpful.

What's your current role like?

As a junior Full-Stack developer it is challenging, but we do use a lot of what was in the course (although use MERN stack) and I still have lots to learn! But great support from the team to help me out and I enjoy helping build a new software for their business.
