Why did you start the traineeship?
I was looking for a structure that would introduce me to the knowledge and skills required to be successful as a Network Engineer. After doing my own research I discovered that the courses offered on this traineeship are known to be proof of competence at a high level, so I went for it.
What did you enjoy most?
The instructors in the videos were (with a single exception) very good at relaying not only the information needed for the exam, but they were also great at providing wider context which helped with applying the knowledge in the workplace. The flexibility of the Traineeship was also a great help as I had to take periods away from study.
What's your current role like?
I’m currently a Service Desk Engineer at Littlefish. I’m able to get hands-on with many of the systems I learned about such as Active Directory, Citrix, Endpoint, Cyberark, and others. I have been steadily growing into the role with great support from colleagues who are aware that this is my first role in IT.
