Why did you start the traineeship?
I have always been interested in IT and the versatility, as well as progression within the industry, definitely appealed to me. While I was researching how to get started in the Industry and the plethora of certifications available. I stumbled across IT Career Switch, which ticked all the boxes for me, so I got started right away!
What did you enjoy most?
I would have to say the flexibility of the program worked really well for me personally. I Didn’t feel pressured to study at specific times and dates, so I was able to easily fit in small study sessions throughout the week.
What's your current role like?
I’m currently working as an IT HelpDesk Analyst for Retail Assist and I’m learning a lot every day and really enjoying it. We work with a wide range of clients and in turn support a variety of hardware, software and networks. The team is always there to guide and support me and there’s always something to do, so I’m never bored. Time is flying by these days, and I look forward to progressing further in the industry in the coming years.
