Why did you start the traineeship?
With my background being in law, I was looking for a change in my career path. The Cyber Security Traineeship presented a great opportunity to move into the IT sector.
What did you enjoy most?
What I enjoyed most about the Traineeship was having access to high-quality instructors and trainers right at my fingertips. Being able to learn at my own pace, in small, easily digestible chunks—whether I was at home or on the go—made the whole experience incredibly flexible and manageable. I also really appreciated the level of preparation; by the time I sat my exam, I felt more than ready, which gave me a lot of confidence and peace of mind.
What's your current role like?
I’m now working as a Remote Support Engineer at a Managed Service Provider (MSP), where I’m responsible for client-facing support, monitoring systems, and responding to tickets. My day-to-day involves Tier 1, which has been a great way to apply what I’ve learned and continue building my technical skills in a real-world environment. It’s fast-paced and challenging, but also incredibly rewarding.
