Why did you start the traineeship?
I’d wanted to make the jump into IT for a few years but never had the time to commit to it. Being off work on furlough most of last year helped provide that time. I needed a course that would start from the ground up, as I’d never worked in a tech job before. I chose IT Career Switch as it provided excellent value and was recommended by a friend. No regrets there!
What did you enjoy most?
I enjoyed how thorough the traineeship was. I feel it really prepared me to start my new career with confidence. The variety of courses provided was helpful in really giving me a good foundation to start building my IT career.
What's your current role like?
I’m a support technician for a small company that provides hardware and software to the aviation industry. I’m learning new things every day! We have a wide variety of problems to solve which means no two days are the same. And there’s a lot of potential for progression in the longer term which is also exciting.
