Why did you start the traineeship?
The reason that I started this traineeship was because I had done some IT in a previous job and realized this is what I was interested in doing but I had no way of getting into a job so I searched around for training providers and came across IT Career switch. I had seen the success stories section of the website and saw people from all backgrounds had completed the course and found a job so I thought why not have a go?!
What did you enjoy most?
What I enjoyed the most about the traineeship was the freedom it came with. Initially when I started the course I had a full-time job and the course allowed me to work around my job which was a massive help to me. I also really enjoyed the course tutors who thoroughly explained concepts, which I had struggled to grasp on my own, in an informative and concise matter. Whilst also getting questions to ensure the concepts were fully understood.
What's your current role like?
My current role is great, I’m using a lot of the troubleshooting methods I learnt while completing the A+ to help me in my day-to-day role which only further cements the concepts I have learnt. It’s great to have started in a whole new industry in such a short space of time after completing this course. I’m looking forward to continuing studying and deepening my understanding of the industry.
