Bart Rosiecki moved into IT Support Technician

After working for over decade in banking I felt stuck and I was not enjoying what I was doing, I needed a new challenge and when I found the traineeship online I decided to give it a go to try and reinvent myself. I was not 100% convinced that the traineeship will be the best way to do it but it turned out to be just the right thing. I am very happy that I undertook it as I would not be able to get into the IT field without it.

I enjoyed the combination of the wealth of knowledge with flexibility. The former gave me a really sound understanding of the principles of IT and technicalities, which already proven very useful in my current work and I consider it a great foundation on which I can build my career in IT. The flexibility of the courses allowed me to incorporate the studying into my time schedule and study efficiently as I never had to wait for another lesson if I had time for it and I could put the coursework on hold whenever my family or my day job needed my attention.

. I am currently working as IT Support Technician in a lab and I get to deal with both networking and end users’ equipment. I connect and fix everything from phones, tablets, laptops, printers all they way through to desktop connected to lab machines. The environment in which I am working is very high pace and the ability to solve problems quickly is needed and I am still being surprised on just how often the knowledge I gained during the traineeship comes in handy and allows me to understand how to set things up, or why a piece of equipment is not working and how to fix it.
