I’ve always wanted to be involved in IT but confidence and life took me in other directions. My previous industry was changing but it forced me to re-evaluate my career options. So I took the plunge and made the change.

The learning. It was done in a manner that allowed me to balance study time and family time. I don’t consider myself a “fast” learner so I was given ample time to study without the worry of strict time limits.

I was worried about being flung into the deep end and being in a potentially stressful situation while trying to learn on top of things, it is probably the best way to learn but I wanted to do well for my employer and not have a rocky start. However, my employer has been nothing short of amazing and very supportive, mainly due to the helpful staff and training structure. Everything relayed to me has been genuine. I don’t feel like just a number and they seem to generally invest and trust their staff.
