Why did you start the Traineeship?
In my previous career, I found myself in a role that was no longer playing to my strengths and there was no real path for progression. I’ve always had a massive interest in technology and software development but didn’t know of any realistic way of getting into the industry until I found IT Career Switch. The fact that IT Career Switch follow up the course content with the employment guarantee was the main deciding factor for me.
What did you enjoy most about the Traineeship?
I enjoyed working on the minor and major projects that are part of the course the most. Being able to use what I had learned so far to build actual working applications was very satisfying and I could see how those skills could be used in real-world scenarios.
What's your current role like?
I am a Junior Web Developer at TAD Web Solutions. I’m now in a role that lets me use my expertise every day, making additions to current projects and even working on some brand-new ones. I’m constantly learning new things but also have been able to show colleagues a thing or two. It’s a very supportive environment and at the same time, I also have a lot of autonomy in completing the work and suggesting ways of doing things.
