Traineeship overview

The training program is broken down into 3 steps:

Step 1
Courses + Internal exam

You will begin your journey by studying fully accredited courses from reputable industry leaders – Microsoft, CompTIA, and Cisco. You will be given access to your own study portal which includes video tutorials, presentations, and quizzes, specifically designed to ready you for the practical application of the theory that you will learn.

Once you have worked your way through the course material, you will take a short online exam consisting of multiple-choice questions in order to ensure that you have a firm grasp of the course material.

Step 2
Practical Live Lab

Your next step will be to make use of our Live Lab which can also be conveniently accessed online. This will give you the opportunity to test your skills in a practical environment – a crucial requirement when stepping into your first role.

By using our hosted platforms, you will be able to work on real-world hardware from your home, allowing you to test your own configurations and the impacts that they have, or to follow the Lab guidelines that are aimed at a specific piece of technology as will be required during your CompTIA exams.

Step 3
CompTIA A+ Exams

The last step in this process is gaining your CompTIA A+ certifications. Here, you will be supplied with in-depth mock tests that will ensure that you are ready to take the official CompTIA exams, which we will book for you once you are ready. The exam can be taken at one of the many Pearson Vue test centres across the UK or remotely from the comfort of your own home.

The CompTIA A+ certification is an essential certification for establishing your IT career and demonstrating the core skills required to work in an entry-level IT position.

Course outline

Below you can find the description of each course that you will be studying in step-1 of the Traineeship. The combination of CompTIA, Microsoft & Cisco courses is what gives our students the well-rounded knowledge needed to become job-ready.

The CompTIA Network+ course aims to ready students to do just that. IT professionals that have gained the CompTIA Network+ certification have the ability to not only design networks, but also configure, manage and troubleshoot them and the software and hardware that goes along with networking. It establishes the core knowledge required of any cybersecurity role and provides a springboard to intermediate-level cybersecurity jobs.
