Why did you start the Traineeship?
I chose to start the traineeship because I wanted a new career within the UK and being within the healthcare industry I had an affinity for health and safety.
What did you enjoy most about the Traineeship?
I enjoyed how comprehensive the training was and the way the exams were tailored to reflect real-world scenarios.
What's your current role like?
Currently, I’m employed as a Health and Safety Advisor. My role involves carrying out risk assessments; and conducting thorough workplace assessments to identify potential hazards and risks to health and safety. Regulatory Compliance: Staying up-to-date with relevant health and safety regulations, standards, and laws and ensuring that the organization is in compliance with them. I’d like to advise management on the necessary actions to maintain legal compliance. Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, near-misses, and incidents to determine the root causes and contributing factors. Recommending corrective actions to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. Safety Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards and ensure that safety measures are in place and being followed.
