Why did you start the Traineeship?
After completing my bachelor’s degree at university, I was seeking a career path that would suit me personally and professionally. Unfortunately, my degree could not offer that.
I have always been an avid user of technology, and I enjoy learning about the latest and greatest innovations. I found IT Career Switch and knew it would be the perfect place to start my journey into the IT industry and take a real step towards a fulfilling career.

What did you enjoy most about the Traineeship?
I enjoyed getting stuck into the fundamentals of IT. Learning about networking was especially challenging, but after I wrapped my head around it, I gained a real sense of achievement. The Live Lab assessments were a realistic insight into the hands-on aspects of an IT career, which I also enjoyed.
What's your current role like?
My current role as a First-Line Systems Engineer is great. The range of queries and problems I tackle on a day-to-day basis is vast. Working for a managed services provider means there is a lot to learn. Not one day is the same. I enjoy the challenge and look forward to sharpening my skills as an IT professional.
