Why did you start the Traineeship?
I have always had an interest in technology and always found myself gravitating towards the technical side of my roles. In my last job, I was working closely with developers and project managers to deliver digital services. I really enjoyed solving problems and delivering in a fast-paced environment, but sometimes felt frustrated at my lack of technical skills. I decided to make a change and enrol on the course to refocus towards a career in web and software development.
What did you enjoy most about the Traineeship?
I appreciated that I could study at my own pace and fit the course into my own schedule. What I most enjoyed, though, was access to the tutors and career advisors, to whom I am very grateful for their knowledge and advice during the final parts of the course.
What's your current role like?
I’m now working as a Software Developer for Prometheus Group where I am responsible for maintaining existing code, diagnosing and fixing bugs and providing enhancements to the products. I have learned a huge amount in a short space of time, and look forward to continuing my journey!
