Why did you start the Traineeship?
I started the Traineeship because I really wanted to get my foot in the door in the IT industry but all employers I went to wanted experience to which I had none. IT Career Switch gave me that chance.
What did you enjoy most about the Traineeship?
I enjoyed the networking section of the Traineeship. It was very interesting and the tutor really broke things down. I also really enjoyed the live labs. Having a chance to practise my skill set really helped towards my certificate.
What's your current role like?
My current job role is a Service Desk Engineer. We deal with troubleshooting and service requests for our client, starting at ‘how do I open Outlook’ right to, complete network outage. We are the frontline engineers that manage and repair the network, the software and the systems our clients use. No 2 days are the same and it’s very skill heavy. So the Traineeship was the perfect way to help me get those skills and enable me to start my career in a great job with fantastic career growth.
