Why did you start the Traineeship?
I’ve always been interested in IT and wanted to work in the field, but I didn’t know where to start. When I found IT Career Switch, I was excited to enrol and develop skills that would allow me to thrive in the industry. The most appealing aspect was the guarantee of employment upon successfully completing the course.
What did you enjoy most about the Traineeship?
I enjoyed the convenience of accessing course material from home and the flexibility this allowed. Detailed videos and accompanying documents made learning simple. The course was excellently structured, ensuring a strong grasp of CompTIA A+ fundamentals before progressing to the more advanced CompTIA courses. It also revisited previously covered topics in greater depth, reinforcing learning. The practice exams were immensely helpful, allowing me to assess my knowledge and learn from explanations for both correct and incorrect answers.
What's your current role like?
I am thoroughly enjoying my new role as a Service Desk Engineer. Daily, I provide effective technical support to customers, and resolve common issues with desktops, laptops, printers, applications, and network connections using the CompTIA A+ troubleshooting steps, which have proved to be incredibly helpful within my role. Helping others with IT issues brings me great job satisfaction, and I relish the opportunity to learn something new each day. I’m fortunate to be part of a team that is exceptionally friendly and supportive!
