Why did you start the Traineeship?
Very few organisations offer guaranteed jobs, I wanted a career in IT as its an integral part of every organisation, enabling quick access to information from anywhere as well as being able to simplify day to day tasks with opportunities for future business development, I believe during this Pandemic IT played a vital role enabling people to work from home, following government guidelines while staying safe.
What did you enjoy most about the Traineeship?
This course offered to learn at your own pace flexibility, which worked perfectly for me as I had a full-time job and a very young family, nothing like being able to log in to a portal whenever as long as you have access to a device with internet.
What's your current role like?
I work as an IT support engineer for a medium veterinary company which involves taking support calls for internal users, looking at opportunities to improve current IT infrastructure, fixing hardware and software problems, setting up users to work remotely, testing new developments for improving business.
