Start Your IT Career Today
Our Cyber Security Traineeship is the easiest way to start a new career in IT with fantastic career prospects. Our simple four step process will give you all of the training and certifications required to break into the industry. You will first be placed into an IT role with an average starting salary of £32,000 and then be fast-tracked into a Cyber Security role after 2 years, with an average starting salary of £50,000.
We have partnered with some of the biggest IT companies across the UK who trust us to provide them with high quality, entry level technicians. These companies are also extremely short staffed in the Cyber Security sector and understand the risk of being under prepared for attacks. This is why our traineeship has proven so popular.
Cyber Security is now growing 4x faster than any other sector in IT, meaning that candidates who are experienced and qualified now earn between £70,000+. Within 4 years you could be in this position with our Traineeship.

- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Network+
- CompTIA Security+
- CompTIA Linux+ (Step 4)
- CompTIA Pentest+ (Step 4)
- CompTIA CySA+ (Step 4)
- Windows 10

STEP 1
Courses & internal exam
Complete a selection of professional, accredited, and industry recognized IT courses by CompTIA, Microsoft and Cisco. The training is delivered via multimedia-rich video tutorials, presentations and quizzes, through an online portal that you study from home.
You can log into the portal at anytime, meaning this can be completed around any full-time job. The emphasis of Step 1 is to learn all of the theory before beginning practical training. This takes around six weeks of full-time study or twelve weeks of part-time study to complete.
At the end of Step 1 you will sit a short online multiple choice exam to showcase your understanding of the courses before moving onto Step 2.
STEP 2
LiveLab
Our cutting edge live lab will give you the practical hands-on training that you will require from the comfort of your own home. Live-Lab is real computer equipment networked together and conveniently accessible over the internet.
Our hosted platforms are configured to imitate real world configurations by providing sufficient hardware not only to carry out tasks, but also test the impact of those changes.
From the browser you gain administrative access to the relevant devices giving you complete control to carry out either your own configurations or follow the lab guides to configure specific technologies that are required for the relevant CompTIA exams.
STEP 3
CompTIA A+ Exams
You will finally be prepared for the official Comptia A+ Certifications. We will firstly release extensive mock tests for you to practice on and once you are ready we will book your official exams.
CompTIA are international leaders in IT certifications and having the CompTIA A+ will not only qualify you as an IT Technician but across the globe.
90 Minutes per exam, maximum of 90 questions per exam.
STEP 4
Cyber Security Training + Job Placement
Once you have completed the initial three steps, we will then place you into your first role as either an IT Technician/IT Support specialist, with a starting salary of anywhere between £24k-£45k.
While working within this position, we will release Step 4 of your training which is specifically designed to qualify you to move into the cyber security sector. You will have two years access to complete Step 4, which consists of your cyber courses, Live lab and official CySA+ exam, as outlined below.
Once you have gained the two years experience within the IT industry, as well as completing step 4 of your training, we can then place you into a role as a cyber security analyst.
Cyber Courses
Your second batch of courses are specifically designed to give you the knowledge, skills and certifications required to move into a Cyber Security Analyst role.
You will be completing the following courses:
- CompTIA Linux+
- CompTIA Pentest+
- CompTIA Cyber Security Analyst+
- CCNA Security
Live Lab
While working in your IT Technician role you will be able to gain some valuable hands-on experience. You will also have access to the official CompTIA Cyber Security Analyst+ Livelab which will provide you with the necessary platform to gain practical experience.
Topics include configuring and using threat detection tools, data analysis, identifying vulnerabilities, threats and risks, and securing and protecting applications and systems within an organisation.
CySA+ Exam
The final step is the official CompTIA Cyber Security Analyst+ exam. CySA+ is the only intermediate high-stakes cyber security analyst certification with performance-based questions covering security analytics, intrusion detection and response.
High-stakes exams are proctored at a Pearson VUE testing centre in a highly secure environment. CySA+ covers advanced persistent threats in a post-2014 cyber security environment.

Success Stories
Real candidates who completed their training and successfully moved into IT careers.
Georgi Shterev
IT Engineer @ Fujitsu UK
“The support throughout as well as the quantity and quality of the training content is nothing short of impressive. From start to finish and even after finding you a job they are one call or E-mail away. Everyone can throw a bunch of online courses your way and leave you to it, but this traineeship offers so much more than that. As an IT Engineer at Fujitsu, my role mostly involves working closely with a huge variety of clients. It’s very challenging and fulfilling at the same time. I think it has opened the doors to a world of opportunities in the industry.”
Robin Kilsby
ICT Service Desk Analyst @ Nacro
“I think the inclusion of the CompTIA A+ exams makes it a very attractive package. The exams consolidated much of what I learned in the video courses, in topics such as hardware, networking, security and troubleshooting, and are a well-known qualification in the industry. I work in a busy IT department in a charitable organisation and support a large number of end users. Although it can be pretty intense, it’s a rewarding role and I’m constantly learning new skills.”
Matt Fulbright
Service Desk Analyst @ Octopus Labs
“Octopus is a forward-thinking company who is keen to promote internally along flexible career pathways. They were interested in my CV because of the CV-rebuild and my background in customer service. I wouldn’t have been able to pass the interview stage without the knowledge I gained from the Traineeship (I distinctly remember being asked in my first interview what DHCP stood for, and I easily chirped “Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol!”). I see myself still working for and advancing within Octopus over the next five years.”
